Ansichtsache Berg: Christian Einfalt

In his comprehensive solo exhibition “Ansichtssache Berg” at FORUM KUNST contemporary, Christian Einfalt presents new paintings and objects. These include positions that show all kinds of rubble, landscape and sky. His current works skillfully oscillate between a realistic depiction of familiar surroundings that is committed to traditional landscape painting and an artistic claim that is as surprising as it is distinctive. In these works, Einfalt succeeds in overcoming painting through itself in a way that is as organic as it is logical. It pushes forward dynamically in favor of the sculptural three-dimensionality of his objects in space. Mountaineers and figures not only climb through pictures but also everyday objects: shoes, books and laptops. Surreal-looking sculptures wind their way out of mountain walls, colossi and juggernauts create context and narration before the viewer's eyes through the stylistic device of formation.

In seiner umfassenden Solo–Ausstellung „Ansichtssache Berg“ bei FORUM KUNST contemporary präsentiert Christian Einfalt neue Malerei und Objekte. Darunter Positionen, die allerlei Geröll, Landschaft und Himmel zeigen. Seine aktuellen Arbeiten changieren gekonnt zwischen einer der traditionellen Landschaftsmalerei verpflichteter, realitätsgetreuer Abbildung vertrauter Umgebung und einem so überraschend wie profiliert künstlerischem Anspruch. Einfalt gelingt in diesen Arbeiten eine ebenso organische wie folgerichtige Überwindung der Malerei durch sich selbst. Sie stösst dynamisch vor zu Gunsten der skulpturalen Dreidimensionalität seiner Objekte im Raum. Bergsteiger und Figuren durchsteigen hier nicht nur Bilder sondern auch Alltagsgegenstände: Schuhe, Bücher und Laptops. Surreal anmutende Skulpturen winden sich aus Bergwänden heraus, Kolosse und Moloche lassen vor dem Auge des Betrachters über das Stilmittel der Formation Kontext und Narration entstehen.
