Running parallel to the solo exhibition of Peter Sengl, Galerie schäfer + schlehwein presents a survey of three-dimensional works that explore the fertile terrain between sculpture and object. The exhibition brings together works by Barbara Bernsteiner, Christian Einfalt, Pe Hagen, Robert Kabas, Titus Lerner, and the artist collective three.

The exhibition assembles artistic positions that engage with materiality, form, and spatial presence in distinctly individual ways. The range of materials is remarkably diverse, encompassing bronze and terracotta, object paintings, manga-inspired works, crocheted objects, iron sculpture, mixed media, and epoxy resin. This diversity reflects the expanded field of contemporary sculpture, where conventional notions of the sculptural object give way to fluid exchanges between sculpture, object, and installation.

Rather than emphasizing material as an end in itself, the participating artists investigate its expressive and conceptual potential. Their works address questions of corporeality and surface, construction and fragmentation, memory and narrative, as well as the interplay between craftsmanship, everyday culture, and artistic transformation. Oscillating between figuration and abstraction, the exhibition creates a dynamic dialogue between contrasting sculptural approaches, revealing three-dimensional practice as an open and experimental field within contemporary art.

Parallel zur Personale von Peter Sengl präsentiert die Galerie schäfer + schlehwein eine Ausstellung dreidimensionaler Kunst, die das Spannungsfeld zwischen Skulptur, Objekt und raumbezogener Arbeit auslotet. Gezeigt werden Werke von Barbara Bernsteiner, Christian Einfalt, Pe Hagen, Robert Kabas, Titus Lerner sowie dem Künstlerkollektiv three.
